In 2018 alone, over 1,900,000 cars were reported stolen. That’s over 5,300 recorded every day. From 2020 onwards, the stats have been getting worse. According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) in the US, there were 873,080 auto thefts in 2020, a 9.2% increase from 2019.
The UK has also seen a sharp increase in auto theft of nearly 30% in the year from 2021 to 2022. This is a global issue affecting thousands of people all over the world every day.
